Doppler
Doppler is a tool that some ultrasound equipment has and that allows us to detect movement of blood, its direction and even speed, among physical aspects of vascular flow.
Carotid Doppler

It is a study that assesses how blood reaches the brain from the heart, in the arteries that pass through the neck called Carotid arteries, where plaques (atheroma) sometimes form, which can cause risks such as limited blood flow to the brain or detachment and cause an embolism.
Venous Doppler

There are different studies that measure venous flow, mainly used to rule out thrombosis of the lower extremities (lower pelvic limbs), or to assess the degree of venous insufficiency and varicose veins in the legs.
Arterial Doppler

Arterial Doppler is mainly requested in cases of suspected flow limitation in the legs or feet, either due to atherosclerosis, arterial insufficiency, or changes due to diabetes.
Penile Doppler

This study is requested mainly by urologists and reproduction specialists and is used to assess the blood flow in the penis, useful in cases of erectile dysfunction or penile trauma.
Soft tissue doppler

It is mainly requested to assess whether or not there is inflammatory flow or flow within a lesion suspected of being malignant.
Hepatic Doppler

Hepatic Doppler is mainly used to determine the blood flow to the liver. When there are chronic liver infections, this flow is limited and can cause leakage into collateral veins called varicose veins.
